A - Z Projects

Orion Heritage provided heritage consultancy advice to support an outline planning application for a residential scheme.  The desk-based assessment identified that the site had potential for prehistoric and Roman remains, including the earthwork remains of a Roman road forming the part of the western boundary of the site.  A geophysical survey of the site was undertaken which identified remains in part of the site.  Following negotiations with Hampshire County Council, no pre-determination trenching was undertaken and outline planning permission was granted with an archaeological condition. The residential scheme was designed to accomadate the setting of a grade II listed farmhouse immediately outside of the site.
