Refurbishment and regeneration of a landmark 1930s Art Deco cinema
The project
Orion Heritage supported the refurbishment and regeneration of the former 1930s Art Deco cinema building now occupied by Buzz Bingo in Worthing.
The building had experienced significant deterioration over time, presenting both heritage and development challenges.
Orion Heritage was appointed to undertake detailed historical research and heritage assessment work to support the wider regeneration proposals.
Our approach
Our work focused on understanding the architectural significance, historical evolution and distinctive design character of the building, helping to establish a robust evidence base for the proposed scheme.
